Welcome to the Island of Palau Missions!

Have you ever been to a place where the sky meets the waters and you can almost hear nature sing the song it sang from the beginning of time, a place where rainbows continually display their beauty as they arch across the blue skies? The water is crystal blue and lush jungles echo the chants of parrots from the top of the lonely Islands.  Too good to be true, this pacific haven has been named as one of the “Seven Underwater Wonders of the World” 1  this place is called Palau.
Palau Island is a territory of United States. It is constitutional government in free association with the US; the Compact of Free Association entered into force 1 October 1994 2  it consists of 340 islands in the Micronesian region of the Pacific Ocean, 600 miles east of the Philippines and sixteen of these are inhabited. These tiny islands in the pacific have probably one of the smallest populations in the world. As of 2006 the population recorded in the CIA fact book of the world 3 was 20, 579.
Unfortunately, 20,500 souls have not heard the Acts 2:38 and the Oneness of God. Can we reach this Island before our Lord returns? In Acts 1:8, our Lord Jesus says that when we receive this promise we shall be His witness to the outermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8: "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 4  This is the uttermost part of the earth."
Since 1998 Sis.Helgah, a native of Palau who attended United Pentecostal Church in Vichy Missouri came to the island with burden to reach her people. Along came help from the Maxwell’s of Vichy Missouri, Missionary John Wolfram, David Brott, Richard Denny, and Pastor Robertson of Spencer, Indiana.  Right now there are only two UPC Church in the Island with a combined attendance of less than 200. Pray for the laborers to the island of Palau and its neighbored Islands of Yap, Rota, Tinian, and the Southwest Islands 5 that have not receive the full gospel. Yes! No apostolic church. May God bless you with a burden to partake in this exciting field that has not heard the Apostolic Message as we believe.
